How Enlightenment Resides In You
By Craig Villarrubia

As I look back at my spiritual journey it is clear that my personal understanding of enlightenment has evolved. Early in my search I remember getting a glimpse of its promises through self-help and spiritual texts. I associated enlightenment with visions, specialness, power and bliss. It was all very attractive to the ego. What better way to aggrandize oneself than to achieve enlightenment? Hence I became a spiritual “seeker.”

Like so many other ego ventures this one was designed to keep me in a trap. You see, as long as I identified myself as a “seeker” of enlightenment I would ensure that I never found enlightenment. In my search I read book after book. I listened to tape after tape and traveled from workshop to study program. I spent countless hours in meditation. All of which certainly evolved my spiritual experience (and arguably led me to an enlightened experience), but none of it really sealed the deal. I never felt as if I could walk with the fortitude that I had achieved enlightenment.

In my mind I had made up “enlightenment” to be a moment of time where I would be blessed with all knowledge. It was an achievement that would be awarded to me for all my good hard work. I thought “perhaps one day in the midst of meditation I would feel it.” I would tell myself “if I can just quiet my mind a little longer.” There were times when I convinced myself that I almost had it. “Happiness is so close” I told myself. The fatal error in all of this was that I placed enlightenment outside my reach and into the future. It was always something to work towards.

In Truth everyone is already enlightened. A lesson I would eventually learn along the way. In A Course in Miracles Jesus says it best “There is nothing about me that you cannot attain. I have nothing that does not come from God. The difference between us now is that I have nothing else. This leaves me in a state which is only potential in you.” Jesus was saying that his enlightenment is attainable to all of us at our choosing provided we relinquish what is not of God. Being a spiritual “seeker” is NOT of God, that was of the ego. In its attempt to hide the truth from me, the ego would have me believe that enlightenment (along with many other things) lived in a future place. But in fact, all visions, specialness, power and bliss is accessible to us right now.

That experiential discovery of Truth IS enlightenment. I don’t have to chase it. Simply allowing what is, exposes the Truth. There is no “road to enlightenment” since a road would imply separation and some kind of distance to be traveled. Enlightenment therefore can be better understood as the discovery of what already is (rather than an accomplishment.) It’s not a destination where all my problems are solved but rather a shift in viewpoint where I can see that there are no problems. Identification shifts from the “little me” called Craig to Oneness and connectivity to all. I’ve come to realize an infinite extension of awareness rests in presence for everyone’s exploration, enjoyment and discovery.

How To Define A State Of Mystical Awareness?

How To Define A State Of Mystical Awareness?
By Debasish Dey

It is not easy to define what goes on in a person’s mind in a state of heightened consciousness. Many a time, glinting flashes of truth streak in through clouds of uncertainty and fall on the eclipsed mind, dispelling its darkness. This dispelling may be momentary, yet the euphoria of the moment makes it seem like eternity.

From the time you initiate yourself into a state of intense awareness, your mind starts racing in all directions. You can compare it to a car that has gone out of control. You can imagine this car to be running on a different track altogether-a track that stretches across a surreal terrain dotted with bizarre natural formations. However, you who are sitting at the driver’s seat cannot gaze at a sight for very long, because you just cannot slow down your car. It has gone totally out of control, and is zooming ahead with supersonic speed. It will slow down only by itself, when its fuel is running low. Yet you enjoy the ride wholeheartedly, because the quick glimpses of the sights you see through your car’s windscreen are enough to kindle in you a sheer sense of wonder and fascination. Try to imagine the excitement of a child who on her first train journey watches the profusion of colors and design in the landscapes that race past her window. In a state of intense awareness, the human mind experiences a somewhat similar thrill.

So when does the mind experience moments of heightened awareness? Anything can trigger it-from reading Tolkien to watching the intergalactic scenes in Star Wars, from the psychedelic colors of Picasso or Dali to the abstract cinematic narratives of Bergman or Buuel. We can just let our minds absorb the vast pool of metaphysical data present in art, literature, and even cinema. We should not forget that true metaphysics has nothing to do with voodoo or such ritualistic mumbo-jumbo. Metaphysical thinking is akin to the thinking of Nietzsche, Osho, Kafka, or Gibran. There was a certain ‘method’ in the heightened madness of these philosophers, which people in their age could not grasp.

It is a fact that in this world everyone is a philosopher to a certain degree. We only differ in our levels of philosophical awareness. All of us do experience sudden sparks of insight that are triggered by the most unexpected cues, and questions like ‘Who am I?’ or ‘Why am I?’ often pop up in our minds as foamy bubbles do in a gurgling stream. However, we do not entertain such thoughts, simply because they arrive to us in a jumbled-up mass of elusive images and undecipherable codes. Cracking these cryptic codes is difficult. What we can do is just sit back and enjoy the endless train of these codes that seem to arrive from some hidden dimension of space and time. Such codes act like men in uniform who work in the dark underground sewers of a metropolis, cleaning up the muck and sewage of the city and sometimes illuminating the dark passageways by flashing their torchlights as they pass.

2012: The Year to Believe and Create

2012: The Year to Believe and Create
By Emmy Suzy Morgan

What if 2012 is not so much about earth changes, but rather changes within our very core? Could it be time for us to step into bigger shoes? Time to learn to trust in the Unseen? Time to trust in something beside our ego? 2012 will give us all an opportunity to live differently.

Some of us will jump right in and others will stick in one toe at a time. Both work. Do what feels comfortable to you but do take a chance – on yourself. Put your money down on you. If you don’t believe in you, who will?

Our whole lives we have been taught to follow the rules. Were they our rules or did someone else set them up? Be honest with yourself. Are you all you could be? Or did the whole system backfire and now you feel like you can’t do the things you hoped you might be able to accomplish?

If you are reading this, you don’t need all those confining bars around you. It is time for you to expand. To open your heart and balance your mind so that as a woman you are able to think clearly and take action. As a man you are able to feel with your heart and treat others with loving kindness. It’s about coming into balance. We all deserve it.

It is time to step into bigger shoes than what you have dared to walk in before. It is time to stretch. To allow yourself the freedom to think big; the freedom to step out of your old patterns and take a risk for the better; the freedom to share your heart wealth as well as your financial wealth with others; and the freedom to allow yourself to own who you really are.

What if the Divine is within you? What if what you want to create is already yours once you accept that this is so? What if by seeing yourself succeeding, you do? What if the love you want will come to you as soon as you allow yourself to love others and yourself? What if you are whole and perfect exactly as you are today?

Are you in? I’ll be looking for you doing the impossible right beside me.

2012 is the year to believe and create. Believe in yourself. Believe in each other. And know that the creator energy is within you. What if you have been holding yourself back and you are like a slingshot ready to be popped? It’s time. Together we are stronger than alone. We are here now to support each other.

I believe in you. I know you can do what you think is impossible. Picture how you want to live. What it is that will make you know you are on the right track? What is it you have wanted to do but always thought you couldn’t? Now’s the time. We are in a place in the history of the planet unlike any other in modern time.

Do you need permission to live your dream? I am giving you permission now, today, to change how you see yourself. Think of the most exciting person you’ve seen and deliberately step into their shoes. Com’on, just pretend. What do you have to lose? Just for today pretend you are the person you most admire. I’m going for the top. I challenge you to do the same.

Here’s to a fabulous 2012 where we finally learn that we are one. One with each other. One with what appears to be the enemy. One with the robbers and scoundrels as well as one with those who spend their lives helping others. If the creator energy is within you, what plans are you making to change yourself and your world?

The Power of the Spirit Resides in Each of Us

The Power of the Spirit Resides in Each of Us
By Steven C Maglecic

Within each of us resides the power of the spirit that is as real as anything on the material plane. This power helps us connect to the great Divine, and it guides us on our path in life. We can be open to the this and listen to its wise words, or completely closed to it and never even know it exists. Many people are like this. Have you known people who are angry, depressed and always lashing out? These people are not connected to the power of the spirit that is within them. No matter how potent it is, it brings a sort of peace to the person who acknowledges it and listens to it. When a person does this, that means the power can go about its business and do what it was meant to do, which is guide us towards our higher spiritual plane.

Your spirit communicates with you through your intuition. Do you know how your gut feeling is usually right? The truth is it is always right, and that it is your spirit power trying to guide you. You were born knowing things that you have long forgotten. Many mystics say that childhood is a long process of forgetting our spiritual birthright. Unfortunately, some adults never get back to what they once knew. However, that isn’t true for all adults. Many adults recognize that they seem to have a ‘sixth sense’ or something that is guiding them and telling those things and that only wants the best for them. This is the sixth sense, and it is a gift from the Divine. All humans have it. You can recognize your spirit power by listening to your intuition more and practicing the quieting of the mind. This can be done through mediation, prayer and breath work. Like anything, it will take practice. The more you practice the better you will get.

Working with your spirit power requires absolute truth. You cannot be living a life of lies and work with your spirit. No one can. If you know someone who is not a good person and yet who seems to be able to work with entities or spirits on a different plane, know that they are either telling falsehoods or are dealing with negative energies, not spirit powers. To work with what the Divine gave you, you must be truthful and have honest intentions. Tell your inner self about your life, your dreams and even your hurts and embarrassments. This will help cleanse you of the negative. You will feel lighter after you allow your spirit to know your greatest weaknesses, because you will be able to finally let all that damaging energy go. As you are cleansed, you will find that your spirit becomes more active and fruitful in your life.

Working with your spirit power is a growth experience. It will never be complacent. Be prepared to grow in ways that might appear scary at first. Your beliefs will change and grow, and some of your most cherished opinions might fall by the wayside. You must trust your spirit power because it is guiding you towards the truth that will bring you closer to the Divine. Most people who tap into the power of the spirit find it to be the best and most important experience of their entire life. Sometimes the way might seem obscured, but it is important to keep moving forward and to keep asking your spirit power to guide you. Be assured it will never abandon you, and that what it will show you is absolutely priceless.

Power of the spirit and how your thinking affects you. 2012 Prophecy says it is a year of enlightenment. Think positive and change your life. What You Think Life Is, It Isn’t!

What You Think Life Is, It Isn’t!
By Caroline Cory

The physical worlds, planetary systems and universes are connected through energetic and electro-magnetic lines and grids which overlap in such a way as to unite homogeneously. They all converge at one Source, the original Universal Creator-Source from which all Life springs. No world can be sustained outside these energetic fields or without the rhythmic breath and pulse of this Creator-Source.

The energetic grids have several functions which include establishing and maintaining gravitational forces, interplanetary communication and broadcasts, vehicle transportation and time separation.

All planets, solar systems, galaxies and universes are created simultaneously. While scientists may still consider their physical movement and evolution to be chaotic, they are all, in fact, in perfect cosmic order and arrangement. Their systematic gravitational forces maintain a perfect harmonic balance in relation with one another and with their original Creator-Source. The organized gravitational forces of all physical systems and intelligent life are indeed eternal, indestructible and infinitely connected to each other and to the one Creator-Source.

All existence, physical and non-physical, has consciousness to a varying degree and due to its electro-magnetic nature, it must travel and communicate through energetic lines. A Thought or a Force, for example, has a vibrational frequency which requires the use of grids and matrixes to travel from one physical point to another. Thought is communicated within your planet, and with other planets, galaxies and universes through these energetic lines. While invisible to you, these communications and broadcasts are actual and incessant allowing the maintenance of a Thought / Mind balance within your planet and your neighboring worlds.

All humans begin life here. You may say that Earthly existence is the beginning of life experience and from here, your mind expands until it is able to handle higher realities. Due to the bending of cosmic light which refracts against your Earth’s electro-magnetic grid, your physical reality appears as a spectrum of fixed colors which in turn determines your capacity to observe life as finite, configured to restricted meanings you can comprehend.

The denser the atmosphere the cosmic light must infiltrate the more fractured or distorted it becomes. Since it is energy, it is also consciousness and carries information. The light bending and refraction that occur within your system allows only a portion of the eternal reality and information of the cosmos to be perceived. In that sense, you only perceive a distorted version of the Truth. While your potential is eternal, your experience begins in what thus appears to be a limited and controllable setting. It is “illusory”, indeed.

If physical reality was to be perceived by a spirit being, it would appear fluid, in constant motion, eternally active. The rate of vibration of each object perceived equals its composing elements and density but their vibrational frequency can only be perceived as static energy from a human perspective: a table or an automobile, for example, are in fact minute vibrating particles of one form of energy in constant motion, while you perceive them as solid material objects. That is the nature of physical or material reality.

From the Spirit’s multi-dimensional perspective, physical reality also appears in layers as follows:

First layer: The concept / idea

Second layer: The expression / language

Third layer: The frequency / energetic manifestation / emotion

Fourth layer: the object / physical manifestation

When “flattened”, these layers are one and the same thing. The process of making the idea into an object is spontaneous for divine beings but for humans, all 4 layers must be processed through the energetic grids of time and space in order to materialize the idea into the object.

Before you appear in the physical, you project your consciousness into a multitude of layers of existence and a range of vibrational frequencies. Your brain waves’ frequency determines which layer you are experiencing at that time: when you are focused on physical matters, your brain waves fluctuate from 14 to 30 cycles per second; when you are asleep, your brain waves are vibrating at 1 to 4 cycles per second… You are the same being existing in these multitudes of layers or dimensions, as you may call them. You are simply switching focus from one layer to another. While you may think that only physical reality is real, your consciousness exists at once in physical and non-physical layers of reality which are all real. You are multi-dimensional beings indeed.

From a Spirit perspective, there are no layers, illusions or veils. These concepts exist in the human perceptual fields. The Divine Mind or Spirit sees reality as light while humans can only see it through emotions and sensory perception. This perceptual impediment IS the veil we speak of. Continuous negative emotions can become obstructions to your advancement because the layers or veils of physical reality begin to thicken. When confronted with fear or anger for example, you are unable to see beyond these emotional veils unless you address the factors behind them and identify their origins and purpose.

Emotions are a primordial tool in recognizing what feels good and what does not as you interact with the physical world. Your Spirit Self uses emotions as a guidance system while you navigate through the physical. They are precursors to choice and decision making. Therefore emotions are not only necessary but crucial to your spiritual and creative evolution. Additionally, emotions are the tools by which you are able to “purge” the detrimental energies being accumulated or stored in your physical body and transmute them into beneficial thought forms. The emotions of anger or strong sadness allow you to experience negative feelings powerfully so you may re-channel them appropriately. Rather than suppressing these emotions, it is more constructive to embrace and utilize them as powerful tools in reshaping your experience.

When you become able to assimilate the original idea and the physical manifestation as one, you can materialize everything you think of instantly. At that stage, you are piercing through the veils of your physicality and thinking ideas into existence, without the emotional stumble blocks. Such is the work of the Masters but it is in fact a natural process for all evolutionary material beings once they learn to transcend physical reality’s layered and illusionary properties.

The Action Taker Versus The Thinker, And What They Both Attract

Consciousness Awakening on Vimeo by Ralph BuckleyThe Action Taker Versus The Thinker, And What They Both Attract
By Joshua Clayton

To attract, we must act and not react. Sure, like a foot traveler, we must take each individual action like a walker traveling to their destination. This need not be hard or easy, but it does need to be something important that we do. Life cannot be confined to mere theory, but must be genuinely expressed in action or it is genuinely empty in every way without matter to how “beautiful” or “interesting” all theories came up with are.

Action without thought is the ultimate unconscious instinct without direction sure, but thought without action is even worse without matter to how objective it is. Think about that fact for a moment before you go on with this article because I am going to say some comfortable and uncomfortable things about the nature of reality.

Action with thought is the key to attraction, laziness is the key to nothing but not thinking and not acting. The only reality there is or can be that really counts is conscious action, unconscious action does not count except as filler for the conscious actions we all take. Creativity in this sense is the ultimate key to attraction, anything in nature can compete to be the best, but only the original creator can create the best. This is what I really mean by action with thought makes everything work. One without the other is literal unconsciousness and nothing else.

We create consciousness, unconsciousness just exists. Sure, that is another uncomfortable fact, but that is reality. When we are conscious, genuine caring and attraction starts. If that was not real, the inventor would not be creative, the inventor would be competitive.

Competition is instinctive, like one peacock trying to create a better plume of feathers on itself instinctively than the next peacock. Creativity is purely conscious and original. If it was not, nothing would be created and everything would be competed for. Each person creates an original consciousness and there are not any exceptions to this rule which is why original consciousness is always superior to competitive instinct. So, think about this reality: Consciousness and activity attracts. Inactivity and unconsciousness does not attract, it scatters.

So, real consciousness uses instinct sometimes, but, it is not based on instinct in any way. Instinct is secondary to consciousness. We must realize this fact at all levels before we use attraction “instinctively”. The best laid plans and actions are mostly the best. While the most instinctive plans and actions that fall within the scope of the plans we make sometimes help those plans and actions work. So, I end by repeating: Instinct is secondary to consciousness.

My name is Joshua Clayton, I am a freelance writer based in Inglewood, California. I also write under a few pen-names and aliases, but Joshua Clayton is my real name, and I write by that for the most part now. I am a philosophical writer and objective thinker and honest action taker.
I also work at a senior center in Gardena, California as my day job, among other things, but primarily I am a writer.

About the Secret

About the Secret
By Will Edwards

The Secret is the title of a best-selling book by author, Rhonda Byrne and it is also the title of a full length movie that was released via the internet and based upon the book. According to Wikipedia, the movie was released in March 2006 though the Wikipedia entry does seem a little confused at present.

When I saw Rhonda Byrne interviewed, speaking about her personal experience of writing the book, it seems that she first became aware of the idea when she read The Science of Getting Rich by Wallace D Wattles, back in 2004. After the death of her father, when she was at her lowest ebb emotionally, physically and financially, her daughter gave her the book to read and Rhonda commented that it gave her a first “glimpse of the secret.”

After that, she said that she spent hundreds of hours reading books, listening to audios, gradually learning more about the secret and tracing it back in history. She became passionate about sharing the secret, she appeared on the Oprah show and, what do you know, everything changed for her.

What is The Secret?

Quite simply, the secret is about the Law of Attraction. If you have never before heard of this, the law of attraction states that like attracts like. The idea is that it is operating, all of the time, whether you like it or not, to bring your future into reality. If your thoughts are full of negativity, then that’s what turns up in your life; if you think happy thoughts, you get a different life. It just sounds too good to be true – right?

When I ask people if they are optimists or pessimists at my workshops, I usually get a minority who admit to being pessimists. That is because, I believe, pessimists generally prefer the label ‘realist’. They often don’t see themselves as pessimistic, but realistic. It turns out that things don’t generally go too well for them in life, so they are not being pessimistic, but realistic, they say. Now isn’t that an interesting fact?

Similarly, when you question the optimists, you find out that they take the view that they tend to be naturally lucky, that things often do work out well for them and, if they don’t, they can always deal with the situation should it arise. The fact is that they do seem to be luckier and things do seem to work out well for them more often. Now, regardless of how this ‘law’ works, here we have a simple example (optimism/pessimism) that is very easy to corroborate.

There have been many studies on the benefits of optimism. Optimists and pessimists alike, according to proponents, are both making use of the same Law of Attraction to create their own versions of reality. However, optimists live in a much brighter world in which the universe seems favourable to their dreams and desires whilst pessimists continue to argue the toss that life is just not like that.

Where Did The Secret Originate?

There are a number of well known New Thought books, now in the public domain, that all advocate the same basic principle including:

  • As a Man Thinketh by James Allen
  • The Master Key System by Charles Haanel
  • The Science of Getting Rich by Wallace D Wattles
  • Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill

Neither Wallace D Wattles nor James Allen directly refer to the principle as the Law of Attraction, however, both books are indeed based upon the concept. Both Charles Haanel and Napoleon Hill refer directly to the principle by name. The title of Allen’s book comes from the book of Proverbs and if you simply read the verse from which the title is taken, you can quite easily discern what was in the mind of the author.

“As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he.” – Proverbs 23:7

Of course, this brings up the fact that the principle appears in the Bible and not just in the book of Proverbs either. It apparently also appears in Hindu scriptures and I would not be surprised to find it elsewhere within religious texts because it is essentially, a correct principle.

Here is the principle, as I see it anyway, in the Buddist scriptures:

“We are what we think. All that we are arises with our thoughts. With our thoughts we make the world.” – The Dhammapada

It seems that a famous hadith of the prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him) may support the proposal that the principle is also to be found in Islam:

“actions are by intentions, so each man will have what he intended.”

Religious texts are always open to interpretation of course, so if you see things differently, then that’s ok with me. You could certainly argue the above scriptures either way, but it seems to me that if the principle is correct, then we should expect to find it within religions writings. Thoughts, after all, are one form of prayer.

Application of The Secret

Now, this is the part that many people get wrong. Somehow, from the popular books, it seems that quite a number of people have got the impression that all you need to do is think about what you want and it will come to you without any effort on your part. None of the above writers say that this is the case.

Wattles says, on this very point, that people meet their ‘shipwreck’ when they fail to connect thought with action. James Allen says that people will only see the results and not the effort that went in to producing them, Napoleon Hill is a strong advocate of having a plan and then working it and finally, Charles Haanel says that thought is what we put out to the universe and thought is what is received.

All of the above-mentioned writers are in complete agreement that thought is an important part of the process of achieving success, but none of them advocate thinking alone as a mean of getting what you want in life. Without exception, they all advocate taking persistent, goal-focused action.

All you really need to know about the secret is that it essentially concerns the importance of constructing a vision for your life. When you have done that, you should to focus upon it regularly. If you are a religions person, then you obviously would arrive at your vision prayerfully because your future is bound up with what you believe God wants for your life. If you do this and arrive at a solid and detailed picture of what you believe is your future, then regardless of the mechanisms that are involved, like so many people before you, you will begin to find the way.

You will receive ideas that will illuminate your path and, if you are serious about achieving what you have envisioned, you will commit yourself to taking continuous action that will move you in the direction of your goal. If you do these things, nothing can prevent you from achieving success.

The Awakened Soul: Marching to a Different Drum
By Jacob A Nordby

A nice definition of an awakened person: a person who no longer marches to the drums of society, a person who dances to the tune of the music that springs up from within. ~ Anthony de Mello

Within each of us is an inner orchestra and it is led by Soul, the invisible conductor of our life. We have trouble hearing this music in our modern world because we are engulfed in the clang and rush of external pressures. We often wonder why we keep mindlessly doing all the things which distract us from the call of purpose, but even this small, questioning voice is drowned out as we race to work, hack away at piles of obligation and drop exhausted into bed at night.

Does this sound familiar? Do you ever wonder how to stop the noise and re-discover the joy and harmony of your inner song?

First, it’s good to know you’re not alone. With almost no exception, everyone living in today’s first-world society struggles to carve out space in which we can remember ourselves.

I could spend a lot of time talking in generalities or bemoaning our stressed-out culture, but that’s not the purpose of this article.

No, I intend to strike a clear reminder bell: just that one ringing note which calls us back to mindfulness and peace.

Can you hear it in your imagination right now? It cuts through the clutter of voicemail and bills and ambition and depressing circumstances. It says, “Come find me. I’m your reason for living. I’m your purpose, your passion…your bliss. I will revive your joy. I will give new meaning to the mundane parts of life. I’m your north star and your guiding light.”

A practical sort of person is thinking, “…that sounds lovely and poetic, but what do I do with it? I want the magic back, but for godsake, man…give me something solid to put my feet on here.”

That’s a fair request. In fact, it’s more than fair. We have come to a critical point in human progress at which we are asking ourselves to bring together all the many centuries of higher wisdom and apply it. We know that we know better than we are doing. We know that we don’t need war and greed. We know that just piling up more stuff will never satisfy our essential questing selves.

So here we are. We live in this world. It does no good to wait for society to slow down or re-arrange itself around more meaningful values. We are tasked with finding balance for ourselves, but how?

Anthony de Mello gives us a clue in his definition of an awakened person: “…a person who no longer marches to the drums of society…”.

We’ve already talked about the drums of society: the expectations and obligations and death-by-a-thousand-cuts duties which demand our attention.

So, how do we silence those drums and start living life on our own terms?

Like any worthwhile journey, this one starts with a few simple steps. Here are some suggestions:

    1. Re-imagine. I invite you to sit quietly with a notebook and pen. For awhile, just doodle around the edges and write down whatever loose ends are nagging at you. Then, write yourself a letter. Tell yourself what is most important in life. Daydream about what you’d be doing and how you would be living if you could begin again with purpose. Don’t shortcut this step. Your quiet, inner voice needs room to play. Take care that the new dreams you write are your own…not the ones dictated by the “drums of society”. How does that feel?

    1. Start small. Do something every day to encourage your awakening. Just a short meditation, reading a good book, taking a long walk, or writing in a journal for twenty minutes can be powerful catalysts for self-discovery and transformation.

  1. Walk away. Remember that you have much more power of choice than you have been exercising. Can you turn off the television more often, cut out un-necessary expenses or compress your duties at work? We all end up carrying weights which are no longer necessary, and we often can’t remember why we agreed to pick them up in the first place.

In my own experience, when I got radically clear and honest, I found piles of extra baggage to shed. It wasn’t easy to de-junkify my life at first. I had to learn that saying “no” to stuff which no longer served me was a way of saying “yes” to my awakening purpose. People didn’t always understand my new path, and this is where I learned the value of listening to myself as never before.

Does this give you a bit more visibility on how to simplify your life and re-connect with your own inner music?

Ten Ways to Awaken and Be Free!

Ten Ways to Awaken and Be Free!
By Pamela Turner

How beautiful to be free! Free from illusions and the endless demands of ego. We are in a magnificent age in the world right now, one where humanity is awakening, remembering our wholeness, our goodness, and our unlimited potential. Here are ten ways to enhance your own awakening process and live in freedom, love and joy!

1. Awareness: As you become more aware, you are able to see how the conditioned mind traps you and keeps you unfulfilled, always chasing after endless conditions to make you ‘happy’. You start to identify with the observer who is aware instead of the mind with its endless judgments and demands of the ego. When you realize you are not your thoughts, you can begin to change them or rise above them. You are the vast awareness that was there before you were born and will be there after you die. Practice meditation, mindfulness, the Four Agreements by Miguel Ruiz.

2. Let Go: Energy follows thought. Whatever you focus on you are feeding. When you let go of a thought, desire or emotional charge, you disengage and enter the flow of life. Things come and things go, but you don’t have to be jerked around by them and controlled by them. You are the stillness in the center that is living it all. You are the sky, not the clouds.

3. Forgive: When you cling to feelings of resentment and revenge, you carry them around in you. They affect your mood, your thoughts and your vibration. They don’t affect the other person at all. Learning to forgive forgive others is granting you your own freedom. It doesn’t mean you condone that behavior, it means you want to be free from carrying the bad energy around. Forgiving yourself is loving yourself and having compassion yourself. This gives you room to blossom.

4. Gratitude: Gratitude comes in many forms: appreciating, blessing, expecting the best. When you are being grateful you are vibrating at a high level and you are attracting to you more of what you are blessing. When you are in gratitude you are in the present moment, receiving instead of in the past or future grasping or pushing away. Remembering your “Thank you, God’s” the first and last thing of every day opens you to life’s highest energies and increases everything good in your life.

5. Being Authentic: Running around endlessly trying to please others, pretending to be who you are not to gain their acceptance and avoiding life and situations because of fear separate you from Who you are and close you off from the Goodness of life. You are responding to life instead of reacting. When you are authentic, you love yourself and express your own unique beingness without holding back.

6. Raise your Energy: Many things in life lower our vibration. The more dense you are, the less clarity, love and vitality you have and the less you are able to choose your path instead of just following the rut. Your inner and outer environment affects your energy: who you are with, what you focus on, what you eat, how you breathe. Energy follows thought. Whatever you are focusing on in life you are attracting. Raise yourself by focusing on what you want, not what you don’t want.

7. Breathe: Breath is inspiration. You are not only giving yourself life-enhancing oxygen but also increasing your vital energy, your chi or mana. It takes energy to grow and evolve. While giving yourself this necessary fuel, deep breathing also centers you, releases endorphins, relaxes you, allows you to enter the healing, intuitive state and centers you in your Being. You can do it anywhere, anytime. It brings you Home.

8. Being not Doing: All the running around, grasping and pulling in the world is just your mind trying to make your mind happy. Awakening is not something you have to try to do. It is something you remember. Your heart remembers – being present, being aware, being loving, being authentic, being allowing, being life itself without judgment. Your heart knows the path. When it is happy, you are on the right path.

9. Allowing: Allowing exists when judgment stops. Judgment separates. It is a mind game that isolates you from the rest of the world, from the rest of your Self and nourishes your limiting beliefs. Allowing the present moment to be just what it is, allowing others to be who they are and allowing yourself to be who you are is a gateway to personal freedom and joy. When you are allowing, you are not blaming. You are in your power, not giving it away.

10. Laughing: You laugh in the present moment, letting go everything else just for that moment, free, joyous, raising your vibration, raising your energy, releasing endorphins, connecting to the world and your authenticity, just being n the flow of life just the way it is! Laugh alot. Laugh deeply. Just laugh!

The Body as the Reflection of a Mental State

Author: Genevieve

This is an assumption that any person in his right mind would desire to live a happy and fulfilling life in all areas of his existence.

Napoleon Hill popularized the statement “Whatever the mind of man can conceive, it achieves.” The mind is the origin of everything manifested in the material world. Health, wealth, beauty, lifestyle, education, job or career, relationships, appearances and everything that an individual experiences in his everyday life is a reflection of what is going on in his mind.

The mind is the seat of perception, creation and creativity, imagination and productivity, analyses of situations and any experiences in the material condition of an individual.

Whatever is the quality of the flow of thinking of a person is reflected in the quality of life he is experiencing in his material world. The contents and activities of the mind are enacted by the body and are also reacted by the surrounding including objects, incidents, and other human beings.

If the mind is disciplined to think only on beauty, wealth, health and creative works then these are also manifested in the lifestyle of the thinker. If the mind sees only beauty in the person regardless of any flaws then this person will look beautiful to everyone too. If the mind focuses on wealth as the person’s true state of being then this person will only see opportunities that he had never acknowledged before then he starts to act accordingly to success. If the mind sees the person healthy in every detail of his body then that is what this person becomes.

We are what and how we think. Everything we experience in our lives is just a reflection of our mental state. Our health and beauty, regardless of age and circumstances in life are the enactment and manifestations of the state of the mind.

Any shade of negative thoughts that become a dominating thought for quite some time reflects on the way we live in all areas; such as money or income, job or career, our chosen field of specialization, relationships.

Anyone who desires to live a fulfilling and successful life must first pay attention to his mental attitude in a moment by moment basis.
